My Bead soup from Darlene

The soup from Darlene came quite some time ago. I just havent been up for too much. At any rate here it is... my soup from Darlene of Darlicious rejuvenations
A close up of  the focal and the clasp. The focal was made by Kimberly Rogers of Numinosity beads.

This is the whole soup. Some very cool mica sequins (which I totally love) 2 cool textured brown lava rock looking beauties, a dragons vein agate, the blue looks like it may be ceramic? not sure but if Darlene pops in maybe she will identify it for me. There are also 4 silver spacers and turquoise colored firepolished rounds.

Just about 5 minutes after I opened it ( isnt bead soup like Christmas in March? So Fun!) I had an idea of what I wanted to do.  The next time I have a good strong day I need to get something at the bead store and then I will turn my energies toward making this into a stunner.

I hope everyones soup is simmering and the aromas are pleasing!

The bead soup I sent Darlene

I sent my bead soup off to Darlene Fortier, her blog is here- Darlenes blog and the soup I sent
She is happily simmering her design as we speak. This is what I sent
These are vintage glass pearls, vintage glass, brass stamping and bead caps, gold magnetic clasp, aged copper leaf toggle, carved agate focal and some fire polished 4mm rounds

These are the rubies :~) the large piece is ruby in natural matrix, very organic (and I think so cool!) and then the 2 teardrop rubies.

I cant wait to see what she makes! When I looked through her blog and chatted with email I knew she had the skills to handle something without a hole. She has a rustic organic style that I hope will enjoy working with what I sent.

Bead Soup, all partnered up!

After an initial snag my partner and I have made contact. Her name is Darlene Fortier and her blog is here  http://darliciousrejuvenations.blogspot.com/. She is a fellow enamelist so I will look for something besides enameled pieces to send.
I had a little trouble navigating her blog but I think I am ok to say she likes to bike and likes old rusty treasures. :~) Now the fun begins, hunting the perfect soup down! We have to have soups mailed by the 14th so I don't have anytime to waste. I will post some hints when I ship and after they arrive I will post pictures of my soup and hers!
